For Obscure Fandom Week— the Boxcar Children Series by Gertrude Chandler Warner!  The first book will always be my favorite; four kids living in a Boxcar and being self-sufficient! I was really obsessed with the books after my third grade teacher read it to the class.  Haha, I think they still sell the books today, which kind of amazes and delights me.   (It was written in the 1920s! I just found this out over wiki. Ahhhh so cool.)
eta: then i realized that since it was written in the 1920s, those clothes are probably not accurate, but whatevs. REVAMP’D BOXCAR CHILDREN.
ps; favorite character was Henry and i hated Benny for some reason THAT CHILD WAS ALWAYS HUNGRY WHEN THE REST OF THEM WERE TRYING TO SOLVE MYSTERIES.
